Code of Ethics
Sponsor-ed recognises that it operates at the intersection between commerce and schools and must respect each of the stakeholder’s needs without sacrificing or compromising one over the other. The sensitive nature of the school landscape demands that sponsor-ed conducts its business to the highest ethical standards.
Confidentiality
Sponsor-ed will protect the privacy of all parties using any of its applications by complying with the Australian Government Privacy Act of 1988. Information will not be passed onto other parties other than in an aggregated form for statistical purposes.
School selection
Every registered school in Australia regardless of type, size or location will be eligible to receive a free website.
Advertising on school websites
Schools will remain the ultimate approvers of any advertising sourced by sponsor-ed for display on the school website. Schools will not be coerced to accept an advertiser that may conflict with local policies or programs.
Sponsor-ed will not accept advertising opportunities from organisations aligned to the following industries;
- Fast food
- Alcohol
- Tattoo and body piercing salons
- Sex industry
- Guns, ammunitions and weapons
- Gambling
Advertisers
Advertisers will be informed of the protocols surrounding advertising on school websites and be asked to respect the landscape they are entering. Advertisers will be provided accurate and timely information reporting on the performance of their campaigns.
Community groups and Charities
Sponsor-ed will support Community Groups and Charities by offering free advertising space when openings become available.
Sponsor-ed employees
Our employees must act with reasonable care and be diligent in the performance of their duties. In undertaking their duties they shall;
- Behave in a professional manner and treat fellow staff and clients with honesty, fairness, equality, respect and dignity.
- Operate in accordance with all applicable State and Commonwealth legislation.
